TikTok Doc’s Prescription for Legal Trouble: Gauteng Health Mulls Medicinal Measures

Jestin Harleythorne

SOUTH AFRICA – In a prescription blunder that even Dr. Google couldn’t predict, TikTok’s ‘Mediocre Matt’ Lani finds himself on the brink of a legal migraine after his Metro FM interview left the Gauteng health department pondering if laughter is the best medicine for Lani’s medical comedy career.

Despite Lani’s claim of being just an entertainer, the Department of Health has handed over his radio interview to their legal team, signalling that Mediocre Matt might need a legal band-aid for his malpractice mishaps.

Lani’s medical credentials, supposedly earned from institutions as elusive as his diagnoses, have been debunked faster than a caffeine high. The Health Professions Council of SA stated, “Matthew Zingelwa-Lani? Sounds like a medical mystery novel, not a doctor.”

In a comical twist, Lani admitted to moonlighting as a medic during his stint at Helen Joseph Hospital, treating everything from stabbings to bronchitis, showcasing that his medical repertoire is more sitcom than life-saving drama.

As Lani’s medical sitcom unfolds, the Gauteng health department is left debating whether to prescribe him a dose of reality or just an appointment with a career counsellor. Either way, the prognosis for Lani’s medical ambitions seems to be flatlining.
